Harry Markham
The Founder
Harry began his career in 1963 as an agent for a major insurance company. A few years later he accepted a Sales Management position with that company to recruit, train, and develop successful agents. A position that he held for the next 40 years.
In 1982 Harry transferred to Arizona as a Regional Sales Manager. He immediately became involved in his local chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), serving as chairman of several committees including Education (winner of the rose award), Health, Ethics, and Business Practices.
In 2010 He was named NAIFA Arizona's Advisor of the Year and inducted into the Arizona Insurance Hall of Fame.
After 40 years of management, he returned to the field as a producing agent. Over the next two years, he qualified for his company's President's Honor Circle and the Million Dollar Round Table.
In 2012, with retirement approaching, Harry and his son Michael formed the Markham Insurance Group, an Independent Insurance Agency. It would be the legacy he left after a long, successful career. A legacy that his son is proud to carry on today.

Michael Markham
Managing partner

Michael began his career as an insurance agent while he studied Business Finance and Management at the University of Arizona. Upon graduating he returned to Scottsdale and went to work for Metlife as a registered investment advisor. After 3 great years with Metlife, Michael found his true passion was helping clients solve their insurance needs through protection products. He needed to make a change to best serve the needs of his clients as an independent agent with access to multiple companies and products.
It was at that time, in 2012 with his father's guidance that they formed the Markham Insurance Group, an Independent Insurance Agency specializing in Medicare, Life, LTC, and Fixed Annuities.

While Insurance is what Michael does, his true passion lies in serving the local community where he was born and raised. In college, he volunteered as a big brother mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central AZ. One of the most rewarding experiences of his life. He continued that involvement in Phoenix serving on their executive council board.
In 2011 Michael was nominated for and accepted the position of President for the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, (NAIFA-Scottsdale). In the years following his term as president, he severed as chairman for the association's charity golf tournament. A role that introduced him to the Children's Cancer Network, an incredible local non-profit supporting children and families throughout their cancer journey. It is our privilege to continue to serve these amazing organizations.
With the loving support of his wife Stephanie and his daughter Emma, Michael is proud to carry on his father's legacy in this incredible business of helping people.
